ITINERARY

10 NIGHTS / 11 DAYS

Day 1: Lisbon (D)

Arrival in Lisbon and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Explore the city and see the old quarter of Alfama, the historical quarter of Belem, and the Tower Belem. After lunch, you will visit the Parque das Nacoes and the largest Aquarium of Europe. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 2: Lisbon, SIntra, Cascais and Estoril (B,D)

In the morning, explore more of Lisbon like the Madre de Deus Church and the Sacred Art Museum. After lunch, you will take a tour of Sintra – a medieval village and World Heritage Site. Return to Lisbon with stops in Cascais and Estoril. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 3: Lisbon, Evora and Castel de Vide (B,D)

After breakfast, you will travel to Evora. Before you arrive, you will stop at the Christ the King statue for a beautiful view over Lisbon. Once you arrive in Evora, visit the Diana Roman Temple and the Bones Chapel. In the afternoon, visit Castelo de Vide, with a stop in the medieval village of Marvao. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Castel de Vide.

 

Day 4: Castelo de Vide, Tomar and Fatima (B,D)

In the morning, explore Castelo de Vide. You will see the Jewish Quarter and the medieval castle. Continue to Tomar and visit the Synagogue and the Templars Castle. Finally, you will head to Fatima for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

 

Day 5: Fatima (B,D)

Enjoy a free morning in Fatima exploring before departing to Alcobaca and Obidos in the afternoon. Alcobaca in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Obidos is a beautiful medieval village. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Fatima.

 

Day 6: Fatima, Batalha, Coimbra and Porto (B,L,D)

Today, visit Batalha and the Santa Maria Vitoria Monastery. This Portuguese gothic style masterpiece will blow you away. After lunch in Coimbra, visit the 700 year old university, the cathedral, and the Santa Cruz Monastery. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Porto.

 

Day 7: Porto (B,D)

Take the day to explore the amazing city of Porto. Visit the S. Francisco Church, walk by Ribeira, and of course, wine tasting in a famous Porto wine cellar. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 8: Porto, Guimaraes, Braga and Santiago de Compostela (B,D)

Today, visit Guimaraes and Braga and see the famous Cathedral, the S. Frutuoso Chapel, and the Sameiro. Then, travel to Spain to visit Santiago de Compostela, the third most important city of pilgrimage. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Santiago Compostela.

 

Day 9: Santiago de Compostela (B,L,D)

Enjoy breakfast before a full day of exploring Santiago de Compostela. In the morning, visit and learn about the Cathedral and the city’s Old Town, designated a World Heritage Site in 1985. After lunch, your day is free at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Santiago de Compostela and Fatima (B,D)

After breakfast, depart for Fatima, Portugal. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 11: Fatima and Lisbon (B)

Transfer to the Lisbon airport for your flight home or to an on-going destination.
