ITINERARY

11 NIGHTS / 12 DAYS

Day 1 – Oporto 

Arrival in Oporto and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore Oporto. Overnight in Oporto.

 

Day 2 – Oporto

Enjoy a full day tour in Oporto. Visit the Oporto Cathedral, San Francisco Church, Clérigos Tower, Bolsa Palace and the Port Wine Cellars. Overnight in Oporto.

Day 3 – Guimarães / Braga/ Oporto

Today, visit Guimarães, the city of the birth of Portugal. You will be able to see the castle, the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança and the Oliveira square (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). After lunch, visit Braga and see the Cathedral (the most ancient in Portugal) and the Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary. Overnight in Oporto.

Day 4 – Oporto / Coimbra

Travel to Coimbra – the city of knowledge. Visit the University, the Old Cathedral, the Santa Cruz Church and the São Tiago Church. Overnight in Coimbra.

Day 5 – Coimbra / Tomar

Today, journey to Tomar. What was once the headquarters of the Templar Knights gives this city a great mysticism. Visit the historical center and the amazing Christ Convent. Overnight in Tomar.

Day 6 – Fátima / Batalha / Tomar

Enjoy a half day visit to Fatima, the main religious site in Portugal, and the Batalha Monastery, one of the most important monuments in Portugal. Return to Tomar for overnight.

Day 7 – Alcobaça / Nazaré / Óbidos / Lisbon (L)

Take a trip to the coast! Visit the Alcobaça Monastery and the town of Nazaré, one of the most known beaches of the country. Then, visit the “Sitio”- a place with a breathtaking view.

 

Here we can find fresh and tasteful fish and seafood for lunch.

Follow the coast until Óbidos, a cozy medieval town surrounded by walls, to visit the picturesque streets, Castle, and churches and taste the typical liquor “ginginha”. Overnight in Obidos.

Day 8 – Lisbon

Head to Lisbon today for a full day tour and visit some of the main attraction points: Lisbon Cathedral, Saint Jorge Castel, Jerónimos Monastery, and Belém tower. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 9 – Lisbon (D)

Enjoy a free day to explore Lisbon! In the evening, dinner with Fado show in a typical restaurant. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 10 – Sintra / Cascais / Lisbon (L)

Today, visit Sintra and see the National Palace of Pena, the most iconic monument of Sintra. This is also where you will have lunch! Then. head to the coast to see the Cabo da Roca, a Lighthouse situated in the most western point of Europe. Finally, visit the gorgeous city of Cascais, considered the French Riviera of Portugal.

Day 11 – Évora / Lisbon

Enjoy a trip to the Alentejo region to visit the city of Évora. See the historical center and visit the Cathedral, the Giraldo square, and the Bone Chapel. On the way back to Lisbon, you will stop in one of the main Wineries of the region to visit the cellars and taste their wines. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 12 – Lisbon / Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
