Terms and Conditions

PRICES are expressed in Canadian dollars, unless otherwise stated. Tour prices are the best available for the dates and accommodation categories specified and may vary with actual travel date or availability of accommodation especially during national holidays and Christmas, New Years and Easter breaks. MartourInternational will quote its best price available at the time of confirmation for the requested travel dates. Martour International, reserves the right to change prices in the event of any price increase beyond tour control including, but not limited to, the price of fuel and/or currency fluctuations or government taxes or levies. Should prices increase by more than 7% between the time of booking and time of travel, passengers may cancel without penalty. Prices for fully paid bookings will be guaranteed unless the price increase exceeds 10% in which clients may cancel without penalty. 

Other Charges
All travel services are subject to various additional charges not shown, such as: Canadian Air Transportation Tax, departure tax and the Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.) if applicable. Not all taxes may be available for prepayment at time of booking. In addition, passengers are responsible for any increase, new taxes or mandatory fees imposed and payable at the time of ticketing.  

Deposits
To confirm a reservation a deposit of $250.00 per person is required at the time of booking. Deposits for cruises are greater, vary by cruise and will be confirmed at the time of booking. Final payment for all tour arrangements is due 45 days prior to departure.

MARTOUR INTERNATIONAL MUST RECEIVE DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT within the option period in order to guarantee the reservation. Please ensure that payment is made well in advance to avoid cancellation. A guarantee of payment is the purchaser’s acceptance of the travel arrangements as requested at the full price quoted. If the purchaser subsequently decides to cancel after space is confirmed, cancellation charges will apply. Failure to comply with the above payment requirements will result in the automatic cancellation of your booking and cancellation charges will apply. 

Credit Card Payments
The authorization of the credit card binds the cardholder, to the terms and conditions of this contract whether or not you have actually signed a credit card form. A letter of confirmation signed by the cardholder must be kept on file by the travel agency authorizing the use of the credit card without a signature. In the event that a cardholder refuses to honour a charge, the travel agency will be held responsible for all outstanding charges and all travel arrangements may be subject to immediate cancellation. 

Other Rates
Rates for children, triple and quad occupancy, if available, may be requested from Martour. 

Changes
If you wish to change the flight arrangements, Martour International will make every effort to satisfy your request. If such a change is permitted after the reservation is guaranteed or deposit is paid and prior to ticketing, a $25 to 100 administration fee, plus any charges imposed by the carrier may apply. If the change is permitted after ticketing, this fee will increase to $100.00 plus any additional charges imposed by the carrier. Many airlines do not allow changes after ticketing and changes and or cancellation must always be done prior to departure date. Change fees are non-refundable and non-insurable. Change fees are subject to taxes and/or GST. 

Cancellations
Written notification of cancellation must be submitted toMartour International. Cancellations fees are according to the rates. Cancellations and times are shown below.

  • Cancellations up to 46 days prior to departure: Initial deposit
  • Cancellations 45-30 days prior to departure: 50% 
  • Cancellations within 30 days prior to departure: 100% 

Please note that terms for cruise cancellations may vary and will be advised at the time of booking. The entire value of the airfare may be totally non-refundable once ticketed. Land and tour arrangements may be partially or totally non-refundable once confirmed. We reserve the right to, and may issue tickets at any time due to: airfare ticketing rules, passenger’s request, or as protection against airfare increases. All travel documents including air ticket, vouchers, etc., must be returned to Martour International prior to any refund being considered. 

Insurance
We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. Insurance cost is not refundable. 

Other useful information 

Airlines
The airlines used for transportation of passengers will be at the discretion of the tour operator. All flight times are subject to change with or without prior notice to the passenger or his/her travel consultant.Martour International can not accept responsibility for missed connections or expenses due to flight delays or cancelled flights. It is the responsibility of all passengers to reconfirm all their flight times with each airline. 

Flight Reconfirmation
It is strongly recommended that you verify both flight departure times and flight numbers at least 48 hours prior to your flight. Martour can not be held responsible for changes to your flights after tickets are issued. 

Advanced Seat Selection
Seat selection may be available for some flights. We will do our best to confirm seats as per your request but if not available, seats are allocated by the airline at the airport. 

Baggage Allowances
Policies vary by airline and as such, all airlines used should be contacted directly for information regarding their policy. 

Delays
Bad weather conditions or aircraft maintenance issues may cause additional expenses, which shall not be the responsibility of Martour International nor will Martour International reimburse for any additional expenses incurred by the passengers (meals, transportation, hotels phone calls etc.). Martour International will not provide refunds for delays due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Documentation
Please verify with your travel consultant to determine what documentation is necessary for each country to be visited or transited. Please ensure that you advise your travel consultant of your nationality and citizenship so that the correct documentation can be determined and obtained at your expense. A valid passport or proof of citizenship is required for re-entry into Canada. Also, special documentation is required for unaccompanied minors and for single parents travelling with their children. In the event that you do not obtain the required documentation, you may be denied boarding by the air carrier or refused entry into the country of transit or destination. Martour International accepts no responsibility for passengers that are denied boarding or do not have proper documentation. Recently transit without visa was imposed for all passengers travelling via the USA. 

Responsibility
Martour International is a travel and vacation booking agent only. We do not control or operate any airline, neither do we own or control any hotel, transportation companies, boat, bus or any other facility or service mentioned in our website or written itinerary. We take great pride in selecting the services included in your tours, but cannot be held responsible for any injury, death, loss or damage that is caused by the acts or omissions of these suppliers. Participation in the tour, any activity or excursion, or in any service suggested, is entirely at the passenger’s risk. Martour International and/or its suppliers cannot assume liability for any loss, damage or injury of any nature resulting from an Act of God or any other force majeure. Nor can we accept responsibility for losses or other expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other services, sickness, strike, terrorism, war, quarantine or other causes. All such losses will be the responsibility of the passenger. All baggage is carried at the owner’s risk. The right is reserved to decline or accept any person as a member of the tour or to refuse to retain a member of the group. The airline companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passenger is not aboard their aircraft. The passenger’s contract in use by the airlines, when issued, shall be the sole contract between the carrier and passenger. This contract, regardless of where it is performed, shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the place of departure from Canada.
