DAY 1

Arrive Bogota and transfer to Hotel Hamilton Court for three nights. Balance of the day at leisure.

DAY 2

In the morning see the capital on a half-day tour of the city including the old district of Candelaria, the Colon Theatre, the Palace of San Carlos, Plaza Bolivar and other important sites. Afterward, visit the Gold Museum and ride the cable car up to the Sanctuary of El Senor Caido de Monserrate. Afternoon free. (B)

DAY 3

Today enjoy and excursion to Zipaquira and the famous Salt Cathedral. En route visit the town of Cajica, one of the oldest of the colonial period in Colombia. (B)

DAY 4

At the appropriate time transfer to the airport for the short flight to Cartagena de las Indias, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the jewel of the Colombian Caribbean coast. Upon arrival in Cartagena, transfer to the Caribe hotel for two nights. Balance of the day at leisure to stroll the streets of the walled city. (B)

DAY 5

Day at leisure, then, in the evening, a uniquely Cartagena experience, the “Rumba en Chiva”: an unforgettable tour around the city in a colourful bus called a “chiva” complete with on-board musicians, drinks and Cartagenan snacks. (B)

DAY 6

After breakfast transfer to the pier to board the scheduled boat transfer from Cartagena to San Bernadino del Viento on the island of Mucura which takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival check in at the Hotel Punta Faro for a really relaxing stay in paradise. (B,L,D)

DAY 7

Today relax and take the hotel tour to the islands of Tintinan and Islote. (B,L,D)

DAY 8

Today enjoy a sailboat excursion from the hotel in the beautiful waters of the Caribbean (B,L,D)

DAY 9

After breakfast at the hotel take the scheduled boat return to Cartagena and check in at Hotel Caribe for one night. Evening free. (B)

DAY 10

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for the flight to Bogota and home. (B)
