Arrive at Calama and transfer to selected hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. On route it is possible to see the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain Range) and the Licancabur Volcano in the background.

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Archaeological Museum Padre Le Paige highlighting Atacamanian culture over the last 11.000 years. Afterwards visit the town church, the Main Square, the house of Pedro de Valdivia (conqueror and founder of Santiago), and Pukará de Quitor. In the afternoon, excursion to Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), famous world wide for its “lunar” appearance, salt caves, the Tres Marias (Three Marys) rock formations, and dunes that will offer the opportunity of witnessing a spectacular sunset. Enjoy a full day excursion first to the village of Toconao with its interesting liparite stone buildings, and then on to the Atacama Salt Flat where the Flamingo National Reserve is located. Then, travel to the altiplanic lagoons of Miscante and Miñiques located over 4.000 meters above sea level. (B,BoxL)

Depart early morning departure for the Tatio Geysers to experience this spectacular demonstration of volcanic activity. Visit the village of Caspana with its fertile terraces, architecture in liparita stone and characteristic mud-roofs. The tour continues to Pukara de Lasana, an example of the native culture; passing through Chiu-Chiu, with one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Chile.
