DAY 1

Arrive Buenos Aires and transfer to downtown hotel for four nights including breakfast.

DAY 2

Today enjoy the sights of this cosmopolitan capital on a half day tour of the city. The tour introduces the most beautiful, and interesting parts of Buenos Aires: the famous Casa Rosada, and the beautiful Recoleta cemetery. The guide will explain the history of the city, and how it has been affected by successive waves of immigration. (B)

DAY 3

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for a full day gaucho experience on the nearby pampas. The Fiesta Gaucha highlights the history and the distinctive lifestyle of the famous cowboys of Argentina. This highly entertaining and educational experience features a traditional Argentine barbeque, an authentic taste of life on the pampas. (B, L)

DAY 4

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then take advantage of a free day to search out some of the terrific bargains in the shopping districts. In the evening immerse yourself in that most haunting aspect of all Argentine culture, the Tango. Have dinner and revel in the rhythms and dance of this famous music. (B, D)

DAY 5

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Mendoza, Argentina. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for three nights including breakfast. (B)

DAY 6

After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of the nearby wine country. Visit three of the most significant wineries like Giol in Maipu, Espino in Lujan de Cuyo and others. (B)

DAY 7

Today, take a full day tour into the heart of the Andes. Pass by Potrerillos, Uspallata and the historical bridge of Picheuta up to Punta de Vacas to admire the highest American peaks: Aconcagua and Tupungato. Cross the Inca Bridge, a curious natural formation, to Las Cuevas, last Argentine village before the border, from where may be seen the statue of Christ the Redeemer that stands at a height of 4000 mt. as a sign of peace and friendship between Chile and Argentina. DAY 8

In the morning, transfer to the bus station for the departure to Santiago de Chile. Upon arrival check into the hotel for four nights.(B)

DAY 9

Today become acquainted with Chile’s capital city on a half day tour of the historic colonial centre and the surrounding areas, including Santa Lucia Hill where the city was founded in 1541. (B)

DAY 10

Today visit one the nearby world famous wine producing areas of Chile, with a tour, tasting, and lunch at the Concha Y Toro winery or similar. Return to the city in the early evening. (B, L)

DAY 11

After breakfast depart for a full day excursion to the coast and visits to Valparaiso, the country’s main port, and Vina del Mar, an ocean playground known for its beaches, resorts and casinos. Lunch is included in either Vina or Valparaiso. Return to Santiago in the late afternoon. (B, L)

DAY 12

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for departure. (B)
