Arrive Buenos Aires and transfer to downtown hotel for four nights including breakfast.

Today enjoy the sights of this cosmopolitan capital on a half day tour of the city. The tour introduces the most beautiful, and interesting parts of Buenos Aires: the famous Casa Rosada, and the beautiful Recoleta cemetery. The guide will explain the history of the city, and how it has been affected by successive waves of immigration. (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for a full day gaucho experience on the nearby pampas. The Fiesta Gaucha highlights the history and the distinctive lifestyle of the famous cowboys of Argentina. This highly entertaining and educational experience features a traditional Argentine barbeque, an authentic taste of life on the pampas. (B, L)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then take advantage of a free day to search out some of the terrific bargains in the shopping districts. In the evening immerse yourself in that most haunting aspect of all Argentine culture, the Tango. Have dinner and revel in the rhythms and dance of this famous music. (B, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to San Carlos de Bariloche. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for two nights including breakfast. (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Bariloche and its surroundings. Balance of the day is free for exploration of the area. (B)

In the morning, depart for Puerto Pañuelo and sail across Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Blest. After a short bus ride, arrive at Lake Frias and take the boat ride towards Chile. After the cruise, take the bus crossing the Vicente Pérez Rosales border point and then onto Peulla, a small village located in the Vicente Perez National Park. Overnight and dinner at Hotel Peulla. After breakfast, continue on to Petrohué. This passage consists of sailing the beautiful emerald-coloured waters of Lake Todos Los Santos bordered by forests, mountains, as well as the majesty of the Puntiagudo, Tronador and Osorno Volcanoes. Finally continue by bus along the shores of Lake Llanquihue to Puerto Varas and Hotel Cabanas del Lago for two nights. (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Puerto Varas, known as “city of roses” because of its beautiful gardens. Visit Puerto Chico to see the houses built by first Germans that arrived in this part of the country, and continue on to Puerto Montt, visiting to the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. From here visit the top of one of the city’s 4 hills (Melipulli), for a panoramic view of Puerto Montt, its port, Tenglo Island, the small bay of Reloncaví, the fish factories, and Naval and Marine shipyards followed by the handicraft market of Angelmó. Return to Puerto Varas and overnight at Cabanas del Lago. (B)

This morning transfer to Puerto Montt airport for the flight to Santiago de Chile. Upon arrival in Santiago transfer to the Hotel Galerias for four nights. (B)

Today become acquainted with Chile’s capital city on a half day tour of the historic colonial centre and the surrounding areas, including Santa Lucia Hill where the city was founded in 1541. (B)

Today visit one the nearby world famous wine producing areas of Chile, with a tour and tasting at the Concha Y Toro winery or similar. Return to the city in the early afternoon. (B)

After breakfast depart for a full day excursion to the coast and visits to Valparaiso, the country’s main port, and Vina del Mar, an ocean playground known for its beaches, resorts and casinos. Lunch is included in either Vina or Valparaiso. Return to Santiago in the late afternoon. (B, L)

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for departure. (B)
