Day 1: Quito

Arrival in Quito and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Overnight in Quito.

Day 2: Quito City Tour + Mitad del Mundo (B, L)

Today, you will take a city tour of Quito. Visit the neogothic church, la basilica del voto of quito, and independence plaza which is in the heart of the city. Here you can also find the government palace and the archbishop residences. You will also visit the churches of la sagrada familia, compania de jesus, and plaza san Francisco before continuing to the monument of el “panecillo”. Finally, you will go to the mitad del mundo and the inti nam museum—the middle of the world. Overnight in Quito.

Day 3: Quito / Guayaquil – Galapagos: Isla Baltra & Bahia Tortuga (B, L)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos. Meet your guide and transfer to Puerto Ayora. In the afternoon, you will visit the islands most beautiful beach—Tortuga Bay. This is a 45 minute trek on land. Enjoy the white sandy beach whose name originates from the sea turtles that come to lay their eggs. You can also see pelicans, flamingos and marine iguanas here! Overnight.

Day 4: Sail to Isla Plazas Sur (B, L)

Today, sail to Isla Plazas Sur, one of the smallest islands of the archipelago. Even though it is the smallest, it has a large variety of sea and wildlife. You will disembark at the pier and take a trek amongst the wild cactus, land iguanas and wild flowers until you reach the shore. Keep your eyes peeled for sea lions and pelicans. After lunch, travel to Punta Carrion for snorkelling. This is a great opportunity to see sea turtles, white tip reef sharks, sea lions, and an abundant variety of sea life. Return to Puerto Ayora by 5pm for overnight.

Day 5: Sail to North Seymour Island (B, L)

After breakfast, you will be picked up to travel to Isla Seymour. Here, you will observe an arid landscape filled with pear cactus, as well as blue-footed boobies, land and marine iguanas and sea lions surfing the lava rocks. Return to Puerto Ayora for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 6: Sail to Bartolome Island (B, L)

Today, you will be up early to leave for Bartolome Island. Enjoy breakfast while sailing to one of the most picturesque islands in the archipelago. After arriving, you will head to the top of the island to observe the lava beds and volcanic cones.

Surrounded by turquoise warm waters, Bartolome Island is excellent for swimming, snorkelling, and observing the Galapagos penguins—the only place in the world where you will see penguins swimming in a warm climate. Return in the afternoon to Puerto Ayora for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 7: Parte Alta de Santa Cruz – Ferry – Isla Isabela: Laguna de Flamingos -Santa Cruz and Ferry to Isabela Island (Flamingo Lagoon) (B, L)

Today, visit Santa Cruz Highlands and the twin craters at 600m, followed by a visit to see the Giant Galapagos Turtles in their natural habitats. After lunch, you will travel in a high speed boat for approximately two hours to Isabella Island where you will transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will continue to the Flamingos Lagoon—the largest lagoon in the Galapagos and home to the largest flamingo nesting site. Dinner and overnight on Isabella Island.

 

Day 8:  Isabela: Volcan Sierra Negra, Volcan Chico & Concha Perla (B, L)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day excursion to the Sierra Negra Volcano—home to the world’s second largest crater at 6 miles in diameter and 300ft deep. After lunch, you will continue to Lo Concha Perla by the sea. This site is perfect for those who enjoy swimming and/or snorkelling in crystal clear waters. Here, you will be able to see sea lions, playful penguins and plenty of sea life around the reefs. Dinner and overnight on Isabella Island.

Day 9: Isla Isabela (B, L)

Today is a free day at your leisure! Enjoy your time and explore your surroundings. Overnight on Isabella Island.

Day 10: Isla Isabela – Ferry – Puerto Ayora – Baltra – Flight– Guayaquil / Quito (B)

 Early in the morning and after breakfast, you will catch a ferry to Puerto Ayora. Meet your guide and transfer to Baltra for your flight back to Quito. Overnight in Quito.

Day 11:  Quito (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
