Day 1: Canada-San Jose (B)

Arrival in San Jose and transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Day 2: Arenal Volcano (B)

After enjoying your breakfast, depart from San Jose and transfer to Fortuna Arenal Volcanic area. Take in the scenery on your way as you pass through sugar cane and coffee plantations, as well as small towns. Even enjoy a small stop at Sarchi a small town home to the hand-painted oxcart. Overnight.

 

Day 3: Arenal Volcano / Paradise Hot Springs (B)

Enjoy breakfast before you embark on a hike to the Arenal Volcano National Park. Learn about the volcano and walk the old lava flows. Enjoy lunch in the town of Fortuna before you leave for Paradise Hot Springs. Immerse yourself into the pure and clean geothermal waters (renewed every 10 hours). With such a large amount of water, abundance of springs and pools, you will feel refreshed. Overnight at Arenal Country Inn.

 

Day 4: Monteverde (B)

Eat breakfast before your road trip. You will be driving around Arenal Lake.You will get to see the Arenal Lake hydroelectric dam, now very important to the country as it produces nearly 12% of Costa Rica’s energy. As you drive along the Lake, learn about the Arenal Lake, the Arenal Volcano, and the peoples that used to inhabit the land.You will have the afternoon to freely discover your surroundings. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 5: Manuel Antonio (B)

After breakfast this morning, you will drive from the Cloud Forest in Monteverde, above the coastal towns with an altitude of 4600 ft above sea level to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Considered one of the most biodiverse national parks on the planet, you are in for a wonderful visit. On your way to this gorgeous park, you will have the opportunity to take part in the Aerial Tram (a gondola) to experience the canopy and the rainforest ecosystem. Overnight hotel.

Day 6: Manuel Antonio (B)

Indulge in a free day of leisure. Decide for yourself how you wish to spend this day. A guide will be available to help you with destinations, tours, and any other inquiries you may have.

Day 7: San Jose (B)

Morning at leisure to enjoy sights. Afternoon transfer to San Jose. Overnight hotel.

Day 8: San Jose – Canada (B)

Transfer to airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
