DAY 1: Canada- Belize

Arrival in Belize and transfer from the airport to the hotel.

DAY 2: Lamanai Maya Ruins & New River (B, L)

After a continental breakfast, you will take a boat tour to discover the jungle-shrouded temples of the Lamanai Mayan civilization. This encompasses over 700structures.

Lamanai is one of the largest Mayan ceremonial sites in Belize. On the way, make sure to look out for all the wildlife such as crocodiles, monkeys, and bats.

Overnight at hotel.

DAY 3: Xunantunich Maya Ruins (B, L)

Today, you will venture for a short tour at the baboon sanctuary before you head over to theXunantunich Maya ruins. The baboon sanctuary is home to black howler monkeys, and is looking to sustain the lives of these creatures. You will learn about these monkeys and their natural habitat. Following this tour, you will visit the Xunantunich Maya Ruins—one of the most popular sites in Belize.

You will see El Castillo (the large pyramid) and the over 25 temples and palaces that this ruin holds. Overnight hotel.

DAY 4: ATM Cave (B, L)

Today, be prepared for an adventure! First, you will hike in the forest to reach the cave. A short swim will lead you into the underworld realm.

 

A trek will lead you to the main water passage, revealing geological formations such as flow stones and stalagmites. This cave uncovers what is known as Xibalba, the underworld of the Mayans. You will be transferred to the Teakettle (location of the cave). Return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 5: Ambergris Caye (B)

Enjoy breakfast before you transfer by water taxi to Belize City. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 6: Shark Ray Alley (B)

Today, you will visit Shark Ray Alley, a short 3 minutes from Hol Chan—home to an abundance of marine life and corals. In Shark Ray Alley, you will go snorkelling with the Nurse Sharks and sting rays. As they are accustomed to humans, you may join them for a swim! Overnight hotel.

 

Day 7: Ambergris Caye (B)

Enjoy a continental breakfast before your free day at leisure. Optional tours are also available, you simply need to ask the front desk. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 08: Ambergris Caye-Belize City-Canada (B)

Transfer to the San Pedro Airstrip for a flight to Belize International Airport. Once you arrive there, connect to your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
