ITINERARY

6 NIGHTS / 7 DAYS

Day 1: Bogota

Arrival in Bogota and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 2: Bogota (B)

In the morning see the capital on a half-day tour of the city including the old district of Candelaria, the Colon Theatre, the Palace of San Carlos, Plaza Bolivar and other important sites. Afterward, visit the Gold Museum and ride the cable car up to the Sanctuary of El Senor Caido de Monserrate. Afternoon free. 

 

Day 3: Bogotá – Leticia (B)

Arrival in Leticia and transfer from the airport to the hotel before taking a tour in a private car. Enjoy lunch at the Tres Fronteras. You will watch the sunset on the Amazon River from the Comara viewpoint. Travel to a Finca for overnight.  

Day 4: Leticia (B)

Enjoy breakfast before leaving for the Don Placido House. Learn of the current indigenous culture and hike in the rainforest for approximately 2-4 hours. You will visit the malocas: Huitoto, Yukuna and Makuna locals, experiencing their culture, architecture, food, and rituals.

Enjoy lunch on the countryside and return to the farm for a tour of the lakes and a swim in the Chorros. Overnight in Leticia.

Day 5: Leticia and Puerto Nariño (B)

Today, visit the Agape Natural Reserve. You have the option to go tree climbing on the platforms of Dosel/Canopy. Enjoy lunch in the visitors center. You also have the option to go hiking in the rainforest and the San Pedro community, kayaking in the flooded lowland rainforest, and bird watching.

Afterwards, you will arrive at the Lotus Flower on the riverbank of the Amazon River before taking a boat to Puerto Narino. You will be able to encounter the riverside communities and the rehabilitation project for monkeys. Dinner and overnight in Puerto Narino. 

Day 6: Puerto Nariño (B)

Enjoy breakfast and a sunrise before visiting the Naipata Viewpoint and/or the Natutama museum. Lunch will be at the La Magaritas restaurant, with potential dolphin watching while navigating on the Tarapoto lake (this will be dependent on time). Return to Puerto Narino for dinner and overnight.  

 

Day 7: Leticia (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
